FAQ

Yes! Our hemp-derived CBD is legal in all 50 states. All of our products have less than 0.3% THC

Nope! Our non-psychoactive CBD is designed to offer you clear-minded wellness so you can work, live, and be just as you are while getting all the wellness benefits that CBD offers.

Hemp and marijuana both derive from the cannabis sativa family, but due to each plant’s biological structure, they differ distinctly. While both hemp and marijuana plants can produce CBD, the defining characteristic between the two is based on a single factor— the amount of THC in the plant, which impacts whether or not the user will get high.

Hemp is a member of the cannabis sativa species and contains 0.3% or less of THC, the element in marijuana that produces the psychoactive “high” associated with the plant. It contains all of the same cannabinoids as marijuana, except for THC.

Marijuana is a plant that can contain up to 30% THC and can induce euphoric or psychoactive effects on the user. Marijuana is still treated as a controlled substance and is illegal federally.

CBD can be extracted from marijuana or hemp (Bottle & Stone’s happens to be hemp, and is legal federally). As a non-psychoactive compound, CBD won’t make the consumer feel high.

Not really! While our CBD is hemp-derived, some CBD is marijuana-derived and, unlike our CBD, contains trace amounts of THC. Our CBD is also certified organic, and grown in one point of origin at our Vermont farm.

Similarly, our CBD is full-spectrum, meaning that it uses all elements of the hemp plant rather than just extracting one key ingredient. This means our CBD is all-natural, and works just as the plant intended for a more balanced, supported and fuller final product.

Yes. All of our products go through extensive testing by a third-party lab to ensure an accurate and clean final product. The tests provide a complete cannabinoid profile and ensure that our products contain less than 0.3% THC and any other possible contaminates. You can see our full lab report on each product page.

Where does your CBD come from?Is your product organic?

Our CBD-producing hemp is grown by hand on our farm in Vermont.

Yes, our farm is certified organic using high quality, feminized seeds. We maintain quality and consistency by growing our hemp plants ourselves.  Running our own small farm means that we know what goes into each plant–– from the water to the soil––to deliver an all-organic, single-origin and all-natural CBD product that’s made the way that nature intended. We practice sustainable farming methods to help our earth continue to thrive. We are also working towards biodynamic farming as well.

Full spectrum CBD uses whole plant extracts including flavonoids, terpenes, and other cannabinoids like CBN & CBG. Full Spectrum is the most natural form of CBD oil and undergoes fewer processes and manufacturing. Our full spectrum oil was grown using organic methods and processed using supercritical CO2

I have a gluten allergy. Can I use your products?

Yes. All Bottle & Stone products are gluten- free.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are a group of organic compounds produced by the cannabis plant. Each naturally occurring terpene gives the cannabis plant its unique aroma.
